We need your vote this week for “Breath of the Victory March” on YouBloom.com. This is brand new site, and songs advance to the finals strictly on the number of votes a song gets – it isn’t judging like on OurStage.
Here’s what to do – it won’t take long at all! Go to YouBloom.com, and create an account. Then click on the “Listen to Music & Vote” button. The easiest way to find our song to vote for is to use the search box and enter “ivorydrive” (note – no space!). You should see “Breath of the Victory March”. Just click on the “Vote” button, and that’s it.
At least for this week. There are several “heats”, an we will have a different song in each heat, including “Chance for the World” next week.

We were awarded 4 Platinum and 1 Gold “Auddy” rankings on uplaya.com!
So what’s an Auddy™? Don’t know if you have heard about uplaya.com, or not, but they have a computer algorithm that compares songs to a huge database of songs, and rates them for their hit potential based on how other songs have performed historically. A Platinum rating is their best, which they say means “ The underlying patterns of this song are similar to songs that have been hits for a long time.” Ivory Drive got 4 of those, plus a gold, which is just a bit lower.
Apparently, uPLAYA is getting a lot of media attention for their system – it was featured on NBC’s “Last Call with Carson Daly” last night, and has been written about in several major magazines. They claim they have some record industry buy-in to using their ratings.
If all that is really true, then we hope our great ratings will get a little attention! So here’s crossing our fingers!

Well, we did not make it to the semi-finals on OurStage. But, there’s a new award anyway – “Best of 20″. OurStage has a relatively new chart called “Best Of” which charts the best Pop, Rock, Urban, and Country bands of the week. Ivory Drive has been on the Best of Rock chart every week since it started 12 weeks ago. We’ve been in the top 20 for 8 weeks. This week, we’re #15, and we’ve been as high as #4! So we are proud to be a “Best of 20″ band on OurStage.com!

Breath of the Victory March is in Alternative Quarter Finals on OurStage.com!
We have returned to the quarter finals in Alternative – it is down to only 20 songs. The top 10 make it to the semi-finals, and we would appreciate your help. Head on over to the Judging page for Alternative Rock. It is possible to judge all match ups of 20 songs in about a half hour.

Once again, Breath of the Victory March is near the top of the charts on OurStage.com. With just a few days to go, we’re hoping it will make it to the Quarter Finals. We will keep you posted. We are working on some new IvoryDrive.com site features – we will be using the site’s News page for more frequent updates as well as our show schedule. And everything will automatically show up on Twitter, as well as our Facebook wall. More to come…

Ivory Drive continues to be a fan favorite at OurStage.com. After getting four different songs voted to the top 10 in their genre (including two #1′s), we once again find a song ranked high for the month. Carry the One is currently in the top 20 in Alternative Rock just 5 days before the Quarter Finals start. We really can’t believe how well we are doing on that site.
OurStage.com is affiliated with AOL, and is a high traffic music destination. So we hope this trend continues!

IvoryDrive.com has been online for almost two years. After all that time, we decided it was time for a new look.
The new site has a lot of the same content as the old one, but has been designed to be a bit more dynamic. This news page is just one example, which is really a blog. We’ve added the ability for our fans to comment on some relevant pages – such as this one and the new Fan page.
There’s a new fan page that incorporates some of the features of our old fan site (which we will remove for now in favor of the new page here) that will our fans help promote Ivory Drive.
Our songs, photos, and videos have been been reorganized under the Media page.
The menu system has also been changed so all the pages are easily available from the top of the screen.
This new website is powered by WordPress which should help us keep it more up to date. You can even subscribe to RSS feeds for news on the site.
We hope you like our new site – and we will try to keep things up to date, and to keep this news page up to date with our latest plans.
